☔ Rainy Weather & Delivery Delays – Please Read 🙏

At JB Alcohol Delivery, we always try our best to deliver your order as quickly and safely as possible. However, during heavy rain or thunderstorms, there are sometimes delays due to rider and courier availability.

🚀 1-Hour Delivery (Grab & Lalamove) – How It Works in Rainy Weather

For most Johor Bahru deliveries, we prefer to use Grab motorbikes 🛵 because they are:

  • Faster in city traffic
  • More efficient for short-distance deliveries
  • Usually easier to book during normal weather

However, when it rains heavily, the availability of Grab riders drops significantly. Many riders pause or reduce jobs for safety reasons, so it becomes much harder to secure a motorbike delivery.

🚗 Our Fallback: Lalamove Cars

When Grab motorbikes are not available, we will try to arrange your order using Lalamove cars instead. This helps ensure your order can still be delivered, even in bad weather.

However, it’s important to understand that:

  • Most Lalamove car drivers handle multiple deliveries at the same time (for different customers, not just us).
  • We cannot control or prioritise their route sequence or which stop they go to first.
  • Even if you have paid a delivery fee, it does not mean the rider/driver is exclusively assigned to your order only.

During heavy rain, this is often the only way to get your order delivered at all. Sometimes it can take extra time because:

  • Riders and drivers are more limited
  • They may accept multiple jobs along the way (this helps them earn more during difficult conditions)
  • Road conditions are slower and less predictable

We truly understand it can feel frustrating if you see the driver stopping at other locations before arriving to you. But in rainy conditions, this is a normal part of how these platforms operate, and it’s usually the only way we can still get your order delivered safely.

💛 We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during such times. We are constantly monitoring your orders and doing our best to choose the fastest and safest option available.

🏙️ High-Rise & Condo Deliveries

For many condominiums and apartments, riders and drivers may only be able to deliver to:

  • The guardhouse
  • The lobby
  • The designated drop-off / pick-up point

Please keep an eye on the tracking link and be ready to collect your order once the rider/driver arrives 🙏 If there is no response, they may have to leave the parcel at the agreed drop-off point to continue with their other deliveries.

📦 Outstation Orders via Ninjavan – Flood & Weather Delays

For outstation deliveries, we use Ninjavan courier services 🚚. Under normal conditions, parcels are picked up and delivered according to Ninjavan’s standard schedule.

⚠️ Flood-Affected Areas

If your delivery area is affected by floods or severe weather, there may be:

  • Delays in pickup or delivery
  • Parcels being delivered the next day instead of the same day
  • Situations where the courier is temporarily unable to enter your area safely

In such cases, the safety of the courier and your parcel is the top priority. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot control Ninjavan’s routing decisions or when they can safely access flood-affected locations.

If this happens, please expect longer delivery times, and in some cases, delivery may be moved to the next working day.
