Montagne-Saint-Émilion sits just north of Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux’s right bank, where Merlot is king. Château de Malengin is one of the estates of Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, the wine group of Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild, and this cuvée is named after their daughter Eve.
It is made entirely from Merlot and, unusually for Bordeaux, aged mostly in clay amphorae instead of oak barrels. That keeps the focus on the fruit: deep, smooth and generous, with the soft, round texture right-bank Merlot is loved for.

Did You Know?
📖 Ageing wine in clay amphorae is one of the oldest winemaking methods in the world, used for thousands of years before oak barrels became common. Clay lets the wine breathe like a barrel does, but adds no oak flavour.
🌟 Final Note: Pure, polished right-bank Merlot with the Rothschild name on the label.
