Laphroaig Oak Select, formerly known as Laphroaig Select, is part of the distillery’s Cask Collection. It is a marriage of whiskies hand-selected from five cask types — Oloroso sherry butts, Pedro Ximénez-seasoned hogsheads, Quarter Casks and first-fill bourbon casks — finished in new American oak, which rounds off Laphroaig’s famously bold, medicinal edge.
The peat smoke is still very much there, but it shares the stage with ripe red fruit from the sherry casks and vanilla sweetness from the American oak. Mellow and balanced, it is the Laphroaig to reach for if you are curious about Islay whisky but not yet sure about the full-strength experience.

Did You Know?
📖 So many people stumble over the name that Laphroaig prints the pronunciation — “La-Froyg” — right on the label. Look a little higher and you’ll see a Royal Warrant: the distillery first received one in 1994 from the then Prince of Wales, and today the box carries the warrant of His Majesty King Charles III.
🌟 Final Note: All the smoke and sea air of Islay with the edges smoothed off — a Laphroaig for everyone.”
