Patrón Silver is made at Hacienda Patrón in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, from 100% Weber Blue Agave. The agave hearts are slow-baked in small brick ovens and then crushed two ways. Half goes under a two-ton volcanic stone wheel called a tahona, the traditional method, and the other half goes through a modern roller mill.
The two juices are fermented, then double-distilled in small copper pot stills and blended together before bottling, unaged. The tahona brings depth and earthiness, and the roller mill keeps things fresh and bright. You get a tequila that is smooth enough to sip and clean enough to mix with anything.
