Borsao Selección comes from Campo de Borja in Aragón, a region known across Spain as El Imperio de la Garnacha — the Grenache Empire. Old Garnacha vines grow here on stony, clay-limestone soils under the shadow of the Moncayo massif, and they produce reds with a generosity of fruit that is difficult to find anywhere near this price.
This is the wine that made Borsao’s reputation. Garnacha leads, joined by Tempranillo and Syrah, and the whole thing is made without heavy oak so that the fruit stays bright and forward. The result is a red that is genuinely easy to drink without being simple — the sort of bottle you open on a weeknight and finish without noticing.

Did You Know?
📖 Garnacha is one of the world’s most widely planted red grapes, but Campo de Borja is where it is thought to have originated. Bodegas Borsao farms over 2,000 hectares here through a cooperative of hundreds of small growers, many working vines their families have tended for generations.
🌟 Final Note: Few wines at any price deliver this much pleasure for the money. If you have not tried Spanish Garnacha, start here.
