Bombay Sapphire English Estate Limited Edition Gin 700ml

This was the first limited edition Bombay Sapphire ever released, and it’s a genuinely different gin rather than a repackaged one. Master distiller Anne Brock and master of botanicals Ivano Tonutti built it around the hills and hedgerows surrounding the Laverstoke Mill distillery in Hampshire — the idea being to bottle an English summer.

They kept the classic ten botanicals and added three: pennyroyal mint, rosehip and toasted hazelnut. The result still tastes unmistakably like Bombay Sapphire, all piney juniper and peppery spice, but with a soft, nutty, floral middle that the standard bottling doesn’t have. Production has ended, so what’s in circulation is what’s left.
