Aberlour Forest Reserve spends at least ten years in a combination of American oak bourbon casks and sherry casks from Jerez, building the fruity, creamy character Aberlour is known for. It then receives a final finish in French Limousin oak, which adds a fresh, gently spiced woodiness to the familiar Speyside sweetness.
The name is a nod to the distillery’s work conserving the forests of Speyside, and the whisky has a similar feel: bright, green and welcoming. Expect orchard fruit and toffee up front, with the French oak finish keeping it lively rather than heavy.

📖 Aberlour sits where the Lour burn meets the River Spey, and its name comes from the Gaelic for “mouth of the chattering burn”. The distillery as it stands today was founded in 1879 by James Fleming, a local benefactor who also built the village’s town hall and cottage hospital.
🌟 Final Note: A properly aged Speyside single malt with a fresh twist from French oak — easy to love from the first sip.
