The Naked Malt 700ml

Naked Malt is built entirely from single malts — no grain whisky at all — drawn from some of Scotland’s most respected distilleries including The Macallan, Highland Park and Glenrothes. Once married together, the whisky is given a further six months in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks: casks that have never held whisky before, which is exactly where the name comes from.

That virgin sherry wood is the whole point. With nothing having stripped the casks beforehand, the sherry influence arrives at full strength — dried fruit, toffee and warm spice layered over a soft, fruity malt base. The bottle carries no paper label either, just a cask etched into the glass, leaving the whisky to speak for itself.

Did You Know?
📖 “Blended malt” and “blended Scotch” sound similar but are not the same thing. A blended Scotch mixes malt whisky with cheaper grain whisky. A blended malt contains nothing but single malts from different distilleries — which is what Naked Malt is, and why it drinks with more weight than its price suggests.
